Kaweco is a renowned German brand of writing instruments, founded in 1888 by the Heidelberg Pen Company. With over a century of experience, Kaweco is known for its high-quality pens, combining tradition with modern design.
Brass series was first cast around 1550, which opened up a wide range of applications. However, at the beginning of the industrial age, writing instruments were mainly made of hard rubber (ebonite). Brass, on the other hand, was only used for decorative parts such as clips or decorative rings. With the invention of ink cartridges, brass could also be used for the manufacture of writing instruments themselves, as the ink no longer came into contact with the metal.
The brass of the Kaweco Brass Sport develops a natural and unique patina over time. The use of the pen causes a change in the surface, which can be traced back to chemical and corrosive influences. In this way, each Kaweco Brass Sport becomes unique over the course of use. Due to the heavy weight of the model, the writing instrument presses gently onto the paper on its own. This means that you can write comfortably for a long time.
The Brass Sport series is available in the writing systems mechanical pencil, fountain pen, ballpoint pen and rollerball.
There are five different nib sizes to choose from, from extra fine to extra broad. While the extra fine nib (EF) is particularly suitable for small, delicate handwriting, the extra broad nib (BB) is often used for large, dramatic signatures. For beginners, we recommend the M nib size. All nibs are made in Germany.
As a perfect complement to the writing instrument, there are matching refill leads, eleven colorful inks and slide-on clips in gold, bronze, silver and black. For on the go, our cases for one or two pens in beautiful color variations are ideal for this series.
