For the first time, a sofa was built without internal branches — instead, external gold frames hold its generous form together, creating a sculptural silhouette that is as beautiful to look at as it is to sit in. It won the prestigious Compasso d'Oro gold medal in 1970, and it has never stopped turning heads since.
