Designed in 1928 by Danish poet-turned-designer Poul Henningsen, the PH 3½-2½ is one of the earliest and most refined expressions of his legendary three-shade system — a scientific approach to lighting that eliminates glare entirely while producing the warmest, most flattering light imaginable. Nearly a century later, it remains one of the most technically perfect table lamps ever made.

The top shade features elegantly curled edges — both decorative and structural — while the two lower shades are crafted from hand-blown opal glass that diffuses light with extraordinary softness. Handle glass shades with care. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth only — do not use water or cleaning agents on the opal glass. Dust the metal frame with a microfibre cloth.
