"The Flower Power lamp became a symbol of the Flower Power peace movement in the 1960s. With its series of bright colors, it is as synonymous with modernity as it was when it was introduced in 1968. The main purpose of my work is to stimulate people's imagination. Most people live their whole lives in a dull, gray beige consistency and are very afraid to use color. “By experimenting with lights, colors, textiles and furniture, and using the latest technology, I’m trying to show new ways, encourage people to think, make their surroundings more exciting,” Panton said of his design.
